Ocular Disease

Optometrists provide service for everything from routine glasses and contact lens prescriptions, to monitoring and managing vision threatening ocular diseases.  Your first call for any eye condition (allergies, burning or painful eyes, red or dry eyes, or emergencies) should be your local Optometrist.  Slight discomfort does not always mean minor problems.

Medical complaints and eye problems are typically covered under Major Medical Insurance and usually necessitate the patient setting another appointment for a routine exam for glasses or contacts when needed.  The majority of acute medical issues can be remedied with one visit; however, chronic conditions may require multiple follow-up visits, and compliance with treatment regimens at home.
